Valentine’s Day for Singles
Article by: Chris Kullstroem
If you would like to celebrate Valentine’s Day but are bummed because there’s no “special someone” in your life, remember this: a bunch of your friends are probably in the same boat, right? And who better to make good times with than your friends? So get everyone together and celebrate the holiday in your own way.
Here are some ideas for singles to enjoy Valentine’s Day with the love of their friends:
1- Invite everyone out to your favorite restaurant. A night of friends and laughter is always something to look forward to, so make this the new Valentine’s Day tradition for all your single friends.
2- Have everyone over to your place for a pot-luck dinner or movie and popcorn night. Having a relaxing gathering at home with friends saves everyone on cash, and allows any and all to sit back in jeans, sweats or pj’s!
3- Get out there and enjoy the night by going with a friend or two to your favorite club. But remember, this isn’t necessarily a night to be looking for love, rather a stress-free night to just kick back with friends and enjoy yourself. In fact, make a point to talk to eachother and not the creepy dude at the end of the bar!
4- Are you drooling over those boxes of candy but upset that there’s no one to buy one for you? Well, you’re someone, aren’t you? Buy that candy as a gift to yourself or to share with friends, or wait until February 15th when it’s all half off!
Remember that Valentine’s Day isn’t just a holiday for couples – it’s a holiday for any who wish to enjoy it. So enjoy yourself on this holiday that you create, and share the fun with all your friends for years to come.
